This role involves developing and executing community engagement strategies for new and existing sites, and representing OpenAI in public forums, hearings, and community events. Responsibilities include partnering with Economic Development and Environmental leads on incentive compliance, community benefits, and communicating environmental stewardship. The lead will also develop proactive communications to address concerns, highlight benefits, and reduce opposition risk, monitor community sentiment, advise executives on risks and opportunities, and create a scalable community engagement playbook.RequirementsCandidates must possess 8+ years of experience in community affairs, public engagement, or corporate communications, with a proven track record of engaging diverse community stakeholders for large infrastructure or technology projects. Strong public speaking and facilitation skills are essential, as is the ability to manage sensitive political and reputational issues.
