Virtual Safety Associate- (Per Diem)- Patient Safety - Health Sitter Solutions - River Edge, NJ - work from home job Company: Health Sitter Solutions Job description: Job description Health Sitter Solutions is an exciting start-up within the healthcare field redefining patient safety by making technology accessible at all levels of care. We provide 24/7 HIPAA-compliant, remote video-monitoring to high-risk hospital patients and are looking for rock-star candidates to join our growing team of Virtual Safety Associates (VSA)! Utilizing state-of-the-art 2-way video/audio devices, our VSAs perform constant visual observation of patients that have a high-risk of safety incidents while being admitted at the hospital. Our staff work onsite at our office in River Edge, NJ by virtually interacting with patients and promptly notifying hospital staff of potentially unsafe behavior. Full-time, part-time, and per diem roles are available for VSAs within the following shift times: • 7:00AM-3:30PM • 3:00PM-11:30PM • 11:00PM-7:30AM • Please note this is an onsite role in River Edge, NJ so you must be able to commute to our office daily. Health Sitter Solutions follows current CDC guidelines regarding COVID protocol. Salary Range: $20-22/hour Daily Responsibilities: • Provide visual observation of patients at all times. • Verbally redirect patient over 2-way video/audio device in patient room. • Notify hospital staff immediately when there is a risk of a safety event. • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to provide support to the patients based on their individual needs. • Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure that all our patients remain safe. • Follow specific protocols regarding escalation of notifications, appropriate timely documentation, and other safety practices. • Work directly with clients to provide first-tier troubleshooting support in the case of a reported system issue. Requirements: • Complete Health Sitter Solutions patient observation training at time of hire. • Obtain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare provider (or willing to get certified at time of hire). • Capable of continuously monitoring multiple patients at the same time. • Demonstrated ability to make prompt decisions to prevent patient incidents. • Effectively communicate with patients and hospital staff to coordinate care. • Must be very comfortable with the use of computer technology, including, but not limited to Microsoft Word/ Excel. • Work in an environment free of distractions from personal devices.
