Position: Property Accounts Payable Manager
Location: Remote with occasional travel to Ocean City, MD

Salary Range: (100,000 - )110,000
Bonus Eligibility: 10%

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable team in a centralized capacity. This essential role involves overseeing all facets of accounts payable, ensuring adherence to accounting standards while maintaining the organization's financial integrity. Your leadership will significantly contribute to our fiscal strategies, ensuring sound financial management and supporting the business's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
? Lead and oversee the accounts payable team, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
? Manage team performance, including recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
? Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, providing support to property partners and addressing vendor inquiries.
? Design and implement systems and procedures to enhance efficiency across accounts payable functions.
? Supervise month-end close activities related to accounts payable, including journal entries and reconciliations.
? Monitor accounts payable aging and resolve past due items to uphold financial accuracy.
? Manage the reconciliation and issuance of annual 1099 forms, ensuring IRS compliance.
? Maintain organized records of vendor and invoice documentation.
? Assist in reviewing monthly financial statements and balance sheets, offering support to property staff accountants.
? Uphold confidentiality and execute other assigned duties, ensuring dependable attendance.
Required Skills
? Comprehensive understanding of finance and accounting principles, including GAAP.
? Proven leadership abilities with experience in team management.
? Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects efficiently.
? Strong focus on fostering a collaborative team environment through effective coaching.
? Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
? Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
? Competency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
? Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
? 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or receivable, with a solid foundation in accounting principles.
? 1-3 years of leadership experience in an accounting capacity.
