Job Description:

The job entails various duties in cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products while maintaining a positive image of the organization. It is expected that Team Members must provide customers and fellow colleagues with exceptional customer service and adhere to both team and store Standard Operating Procedures. Additionally, being competent in performing duties associated with other job descriptions is essential. Job Responsibilities: ? The meats are merchandised by the butcher, who presents them in such a way as to entice customers to make a purchase. ? Designs specialized meat goods such as oven-ready items, sausages, and cured meats. ? An analysis is performed on the item to verify it meets WFM's rigorous quality requirements. ? Maintains sampling program. ? Oversees and helps to prevent the spoilage of goods. ? Assists and mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s) throughout their training period. ? Shows up on time at work station, properly decked out and fully equipped to perform job functions. Fulfills all scheduled shifts and attends all required trainings and meetings conscientiously. ? Providing exceptional customer service involves addressing customer needs in a prompt and effective way, as well as modeling suggestive selling techniques. Additionally, answering phone calls and pages in a courteous manner is necessary. ? Elevates selling capability by utilizing optimal and appropriate protocols to arrange, maintain, alternate, furnish, and exhibit goods. ? Actively adheres to established guidelines, including Weights and Measures, sanitation and health regulations, and safe work practices. ? Maintains a clean and hygienic setting for work and shopping; adheres to WFM's safety and cleanliness rules for equipment maintenance. ? Pays close attention to completing the required tasks for opening, mid-shift, and closing with precision on pricing and signage. ? No time should be wasted in reporting safety breaches and hazards. ? Performs supplementary tasks as directed by store, regional, or national leadership.
