Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Vice President of Enterprise Data Management with a strong background in healthcare data ecosystems, including patient information, claims, clinical data, and regulatory reporting. This role involves managing and optimizing large-scale data portfolios, with a specific focus on Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, and Data Governance.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in cloud-based data management, particularly with Azure and AWS services, and have a demonstrated track record in managing data initiatives within the healthcare domain. This position requires experience in leading multi-million-dollar portfolios and designing solutions that drive data strategy and architecture across complex healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
? Oversee and manage a data portfolio worth $25-$40 million, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals and delivering measurable impact.
? Lead the development and implementation of enterprise data strategies for healthcare clients, with a strong focus on MDM, Data Quality, and Data Governance.
? Champion data-driven decision-making and foster a culture of data literacy across the organization.
? Stay ahead of emerging trends in healthcare data, analytics, and technology.
Data Governance and Compliance
? Establish and enforce robust data governance policies and frameworks to ensure data accuracy, security, and privacy.
? Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, CMS guidelines, and other relevant healthcare standards.
? Monitor and address data-related risks, including patient privacy and data breaches.
Data Architecture and Integration
? Architect and implement cloud-native data solutions using Azure and AWS platforms to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
? Drive the integration of disparate data sources, including EHRs, claims systems, patient portals, and clinical research data.
? Ensure seamless interoperability between internal systems and external healthcare data exchanges.
Analytics and Insights
? Lead the development of advanced analytics capabilities to derive actionable insights from clinical, operational, and financial healthcare data.
? Collaborate with stakeholders to build predictive and prescriptive models for improving patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and cost management.
? Promote the use of real-time dashboards and reporting tools for key performance indicators (KPIs).
Team Leadership
? Build and mentor a high-performing data management team, fostering professional growth and innovation.
? Collaborate with IT, clinical, and business leaders to ensure data initiatives meet organizational needs.
? Identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
Qualifications
Education
? Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Experience
? 15+ years of experience in data management, with expertise in MDM, Data Quality, and Data Governance, including substantial experience in healthcare.
? Proven leadership experience in managing a data, analytics, or AI business unit within a consulting or technology firm, preferably within the healthcare domain.
? Experience managing $25 million or more in revenue.
Skills and Competencies
? Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD, CPT, etc.).
? Proficiency in data management platforms, ETL tools, and BI/analytics solutions.
? Advanced proficiency with Azure and AWS platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Redshift), strong SQL skills, and knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages.
? Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
? Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution.
Preferred Qualifications
? Experience with value-based care initiatives, population health management, and claims analytics.
? Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
? Certification in healthcare data management or analytics (e.g., CHDA, CPHIMS).
